On November 7, the PlayStation 5 Pro will be available for purchase. Sony recently released a list of over 50 titles that will have improved versions available when the console comes later this week, in case you’ve been considering spending a cool $700 on a mid-generation update.

Baldur’s Gate 3, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and God of War Ragnarök are among the contemporary favorites on this list. Newer titles like Dragon Age: The Veilguard and NBA2K 25 are also included. Overall, it’s a respectable beginning. Numerous graphical improvements, including sophisticated ray tracing, increased frame rates, and Sony’s exclusive upscaling technology, known as PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, will be made available on the console.

It’s important to note several games that aren’t on the list, though. Even though an improved edition of Gran Turismo 7 has previously been revealed, it is still absent. It must not yet be prepared. Additionally missing from the list is Final Fantasy XVI, which has frame rate problems on the PS5. The same is true for Elden Ring and Returnal. Now, this doesn’t mean that these games won’t get improved versions in the future just because they weren’t on the launch list. It likely hinges on Sony’s console sales volume.

There is more to the PS5 Pro than minor visual enhancements for already-existing games. It comes with a big 2TB SSD, quicker memory, and Wi-Fi 7 capability. During a recent unpacking, Digital Foundry discovered a user-accessible battery bay and an extra 2GB of DDR5 RAM. All of these enhancements are fantastic, but I’m not sure if I’ll end up paying $700 on them all.
